Reforest The Tropics

An applied research program demonstrating climate change mitigation through sustainable farm forestry

About RTT

Reforest The Tropics mission is to make a tangible contribution to global sustainability through environmental education and applied research on carbon-offset farm forests in the tropics. We link U.S. emitter communities with farmers and their forests.

We are an applied research and demonstration organization working to mitigate global warming through sustainable forestry and long-term, verifiable carbon sequestration.

We have over two decades of experience in tropical forest R&D under the UNFCCC AIJ pilot phase framework. We are a partner of the original United Nations Billion Tree Campaign and a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
